A carpenter CV job description and skills list

Before you begin writing, make sure you know how to write a CV in a way that best emphasises your strengths.

Carpenters are responsible for cutting, shaping, and installing wooden structures and fixtures. Their day-to-day duties may include measuring and marking out materials, cutting and shaping wood, assembling structures and fixtures, and finishing surfaces.

Carpenters also need to have a strong understanding of construction methods and be able to work with a variety of tools and equipment.

Some hard skills (technical abilities you learnt from training or on the job) to highlight on a carpenter’s CV include:
